Engineering
Quoting
Our
Engineering Department is
responsible for quoting jobs to our customers. This allows the
engineering
group to make sound decisions prior to receiving a job. Spending the
time up
front allows us to price jobs competitively and accurately. We find
this
approach leads into a more solid design giving you the customer a
better
product.
Design
At River
City Rollform we do
100% of our design in house. With over 750 successful roll tool
designs, we
blend the latest in technology along with the professional experience
of people
with both tooling and production backgrounds. This allows us to create
designs
that will not only make a good part, but one that will run in
production for
years to come. This diversity of experience also allows us to assist
our
customers in development of complete processes capable of manufacturing
their
products by utilizing the latest developments in technology.
Programming
Our
Engineering Department utilizes CAM technology to generate
programs
for our CNC lathes. All tool paths are created in Engineering, where
they can
be visually checked for errors and sent to the lathes via our intranet.
Tooling
Verification
River City Rollform has
determined that in
order for us to provide our customers with the best tooling possible it
is a
necessity, for our Tryout Department to work hand-in-hand with
Engineering
Department. Both departments work together throughout the tryout
process making
improvements, engineering changes or modifications ensuring our
customers
receive the best, production ready tooling possible before it leaves
our
facility.
Documentation
By
following our Engineering process from Design through Tooling
Verification, it
ensures our customers are provided with all of the latest up to date
technical
documents related to their tooling. As a customer of River City
Rollform, you
will be provided with a hardcover binder containing a complete set of
engineering drawings for the tooling and all accessories. The binder
will also
contain a CD-ROM which stores all of the CAD generated drawings. We
even
include DXF, IGES and Adobe Acrobat copies of the data so you can view
the data
in virtually any application.
